Not just for kids!
I bought some of these for my pet mice to nest with. They adore them! It's also quite cute to watch them pick the pompoms up with their mouth and set it up to their liking. They also tend to "bury" their food with them instead of using shavings.

Sensory Box
I had heard about sensory boxes for toddlers, which includes a box filled with a couple of different items that a child can play with that feel different than the usual toys he/she may play with. So I went to my local Dollar Tree and found these! I bought a shoe-box sized container, 2 bags of these pom-poms - one in the primary and one in the pastel, a bag of plastic frogs, a bag of plastic jacks, and a bag of eraser dice (all for $6 at DT) I was so excited to have a new "toy" for my son - and it's something that he can sit and explore with :) (adult supervision recommended with small objects)

Caterpillar
I was really thrilled to have found these pom poms @ the dollar store with such great colors, value and quality. I used them to do Caterpillars for my daughter's 1st Birthday card invitations.
