Good Science Party or Classroom Activity
My child's science themed party included a crystal growing project. Actual crystal science kits are much more expensive, so these kits were very affordable and each child was able to make 2 crystal solutions. These kits do NOT include a container, so I also bought small jars for the kids to use for the project and bring home. You will need a container which is NOT included to mix the solution in. This kit does NOT include scientific explanation for crystal growth, so a parent or teacher will have to explain saturated solutions and how the crystals form. It is still a very good price for the materials themselves, although they appear to contain artificial colorant. The crystals also did not grow on the rock as depicted in the picture but on the bottom and sides of the container. From a science perspective, the kids learned about and grew a crystal even though it wasn't as pretty as the crystal on the package. Overall this kit was a very good value if you already understand how to grow crystals and you need many kits for a large group of children.

Crystals do not grow as big as shown
Great for stocking stuffers. Kids are having fun using more than 1 package to make the crystals as big as pictured on the package.
