Messy,No Evidence of Effectiveness;Poor Appearance
I had a mole removed and waited until my wound was completely healed, as Dr. Sheffield's Scar Gel instructs, before using the Gel on the darker pink skin and minimally raised scar that had remained.
I followed the recommended application 3-4 times daily over a period of 3 3/4 months before finally stopping ( The instructions state that the product needs to be used for 3 months for a new scar and up to six months on an older scar, depending on how old the scar is).
The "Gel" is more like a slightly thickened liquid, and no matter how lightly I squeezed the tube, it always came out too fast and spilled out either onto my clothing or past my finger. Also every time, too much came out, it was simply not solid enough to be controlled once it was squeezed past the neck of the tube.
Once dried, it left a film that cracked up like a puzzle, so it made my ear lobe look like I had slobbered saliva onto it during my sleep and it had dried and cracked. It was not appealing.
Although I placed this order recently, I had already been using prior tubes but my time using this was still not yet at the third month recommended for results. I had hoped that with the order coming in, maybe something would improve between month three and four. I regret placing this order. It has done ziltch for me in 3 3/4 months (recommended time for a new scar is 3 months) and I did not anticipate anything changing for my older scar (recommended time is 6 months usage).
Since I have an older scar on my knee, I was simultaneously using this product on both my new and and old scar. There was no change in either scar's appearance or feel.
I was very motivated but can easily see that the length of time, and number of applications it would take to see whether it would eventually work or not for others might be difficult for anyone to maintain interest in and making a commitment of their time several times daily. I applied it three-four times daily at the same times that I took my prescription medications so I did not miss any of the recommended times that Dr. Sheffield's said was necessary to begin to see any results.
Save your dollar for another product out of the thousands of really good ones that The Dollar Tree carries. I cannot speak for others but this product did absolutely nothing for me, and by looking at a popular online internet selling site, it appears that some others are attempting to rid themselves of their extra tubes that they had purchased with the same hope that I had originally had for this item. By the way, if you are still interested in buying this item to see if it works for you, go get it at The Dollar Tree. You will need about two-three tubes for a small to medium scar for a three month trial period, a larger amount for a large scar area.

Morgellons Disease a horrible thing to have.UTUBE
In April I came down with a disease so new most Dr. have never heard of it.You get horrible sores all over your body that have to be opened to stop the pain and itch.It has many side effects but I'll only address the sores.Scar Gel accutally melts the scab which is like plastic, then you are able to clean the sand or crystals and fibers out of the sore without much pain and it does a great job on the scars! I have bought out all the scar Gel in a thirty mile radious and it hasn't restocked. I'm trying to buy it on line by bulk. wish me luck.
