Excellent Value
The Iodent Max ointment has 20% benzocaine, higher than many more expensive items. I agree with the last review that frequent usage is required, but this is the BEST value I've ever seen. We also used some on our old dog's absess (he is terminal) when he couldn't stop scratching and opening the scab. Certainly not what the vet ordered, but he is able to stop the cycle and be comfortale for another hour.

Pretty good for $1.00
I had this wicked painful front tooth to the point of screaming in pain (later found out it was because of an Abscess and that required a root canal) so i went and bought some of this at my local dollartree cause the name brand was a bit too pricey for me (I just like to save $$$). I applied it to the painful tooth and in a matter of seconds it numbed it and the pain went away slowly...Only negative thing is, it wares off quickly so you have to keep applying it. But it helped me out until i could get to the dentist for antibiotics.
