Gets the job done
I like to use these when i make corn on the cob, they are great to get the cobs out of the boiling water! I also used these to pull cookie sheets out of the oven while i am cooking....Works for me. I do agree they are flimsy but if they break it's only a $1.00 spent....and i had them for 1 year now and they are still going good....I guess it depends on how much you use them though! but for $1.00 they are good.

Too long
The idea is great, but given how lightweight they are, they are just too long to manage easily. If they were 7" to 9", they would fit in your hand better and be more manageable. I find myself constantly grabbing them in the middle rather than the end. For 11" they need to be much more hefty. Also, if they were shorter, they would be perfect for table serving purposes.

eh.
They're okay. They get the job done, but they just seem like they'll fall a part in my hands because they're so flimsy. I do like that they have a locking mechanism and silicone tips (which haven't melted yet at all and I've used them a bunch).
