Wonder-fall!
I just bought these leaves, and I'm so excited to use them. I bought the bright orange ones, which are going to look great against my purple front door.

Fall Into Symmetry!
These large crepe-paper leaves are the perfect way to review symmetry with your students! Distribute a leaf to each student. Begin by inviting students to fold the leaves vertically and see how both halves match up exactly. Explain to the class that the fold is called the LINE OF SYMMETRY; whatever is on one side of the fold is on the other side of the fold. This is a great time to introduce the word CONGRUENT. Next, cut the leaves on the lines of symmetry. Glue one-half of a leaf to a sheet of white paper. Provide pencils and rulers so that students may draw the other half of the leaf so that it is symmetrical. Your class will enjoy decorating their symmetrical leaves in attractive fall colors using crayons, markers, and colored pencils.
