Sorry to say I have to say most of these are "throwaway" toys as they are most likely to quickly end up clogging up a landfill as they will not be played with or enjoyed...it is just something to fill up a birthday "goody bag" or give out at a school carnival.
This is one of the few products I have purchased in the past from the Dollar store that I would not recommend. They are cheaply made, break or fall apart easy and as most are made of plastic in 3rd world countries I have concerns over toxicity.
Dollar Tree has a decent variety of coloring books, kids educational puzzles and other small toys that children will actually enjoy. Yes, they cost $1 a piece instead of .12 1/2 cents each but worth it.
If $1 per child is out of your price range, there are tons of kids crafts that can be made with recycled items and some glue, a packet of googly eyes, glitter and other items (depending on the theme of the party) from the Dollar Tree to make a craft to take home instead.
