Tastes like paint.
I dont get the reviews for this stuff, these people obviously didnt grow up in the South. This stuff is terrible, you can check the reviews online at the world's largest bookseller if you dont believe me, my advice is to avoid this stuff like the plague, cause it tastes like it.

way better than granny's cornbread
i'm from up state and moved down south 10 years ago. my husband is from nashville and has only ever eaten hot water cornbread like his granny used to make. he never really took to my jiffy mix cornbread saying it was too sweet and crumbly for him.
welllll,. i just happened to see this little bag of goodness and decided to give it a try. needless to say, it was a huge hit. moist, soft and melt in your mouth inside with a nice firm crust on the outside. not too sweet and crowns very nicely in my muffin pan.
for something really special i add chopped jalapeno peppers and a half cup of grated cheese. talk about good eatin'...yum!
